The Presidency has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no real challenger ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that he will be re-elected.
Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, made this known on Tuesday in Abuja during a meeting with over 100 pro-Tinubu support groups from different parts of the country.
Building stronger ties with supporters
The event, titled “Meet and Greet with the Spokesman,” was held to strengthen communication between the Presidency and its grassroots supporters.
Bwala said the gathering was meant to appreciate those who have been standing by the President, thank them for their efforts, and encourage them to keep supporting the government’s programmes.
“We felt it was necessary to meet the people who have always been there for the President, appreciate them for their loyalty, and ask them to continue working for the progress of the country,” he explained.
‘No one can challenge tinubu’
According to him, the President’s policies and reforms in the past two years have restored confidence in the economy and governance, making his re-election almost certain.
“No politician in Nigeria today can challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Bwala said. “We have moved from renewed hope to recovery, and that recovery must be felt by every Nigerian.”
He added that representatives from all six geopolitical zones, as well as delegates from the United Kingdom, attended the meeting to show their continued support.
Bwala stressed that the event was not a campaign rally but an opportunity to work more closely with supporters at the grassroots level.
“Support groups are not just for elections,” he said. “They are partners in governance and must be part of the government’s plans and achievements.”
