The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, met with former Nigerian President and elder statesman Olusegun Obasanjo during a distinguished lecture organised in celebration of Obasanjo’s 89th birthday in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to a post shared by Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, on his official Instagram account on Thursday, 5th March, 2026, the NNPP leader attended the event alongside other distinguished personalities who gathered to celebrate Obasanjo’s legacy and reflect on Africa’s position in global affairs.
The event, titled “The Global Africa Enlightenment” was organised to honour the former president’s lifelong contributions to leadership, governance, and development in Nigeria and across the African continent.
