Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, reportedly collapsed in Kuje prison after being granted bail by court.
Recall that a Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja, granted bail to Aloy Ejimakor, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, Omoyele Sowore, and 11 other individuals.
The bail was granted by Magistrate Abubakar Umar Sai’id on Saturday, October 24, 2025.
Aloy Ejimakor Collapses
According to a report from Sahara Reporters, Aloy Ejimakor is currently receiving medical treatment at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
His condition is reportedly deteriorating rapidly after he collapsed and struggled to sit upright or stand due to health issues.
It would be recalled that Aloy Ejimakor was arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja.
Notably, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been in custody since June 2021.
He was rearrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria to face terrorism charges.
The protest for Nnamdi Kanu’s release was marked by clashes between security forces and demonstrators in Abuja, with police firing tear gas.
The protests were organized by Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, under the hashtag, #FreeNnamdiKanuNow.
However, the protest proceeded despite a court order barring demonstrations near key government buildings, including the Aso Rock Presidential Villa and National Assembly.
