The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has entered into a strategic partnership with WorldQuant University, a globally renowned institution, to provide free, high-quality certified courses — including AI, and a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering — to all NIMC staff.
The partnership reflects WorldQuant University’s recognition of NIMC’s pivotal role in strengthening Nigeria’s national identity management system.
Dr Gbemi Disu, Senior Vice President for Global Partnerships at WorldQuant University, highlighted the Commission’s achievements and strategic importance, describing the collaboration as a symbolic investment in capacity building for a critical national institution.
“This partnership will give every NIMC staff meallow every NIMC staff member access to courses, including AI and the Master’s programme in Financial Engineering at no cost,” Dr Disu stated.
“We are proud to support the Commission’s workforce in acquiring cutting-edge skills that will further enhance service delivery in identity management.”
In response, NIMC’s Director-General/CEO, Engr. (Dr) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, represented by the Director of Research and Development, Mrs Carolyn Folami, welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to WorldQuant University.
She reaffirmed NIMC’s commitment to excellence and assured that staff across the Commission will fully utilise this opportunity to deepen their expertise and drive innovation in their respective roles.
This collaboration underscores NIMC’s ongoing efforts to invest in human capital development as a key pillar for delivering a robust, secure, and inclusive national identity ecosystem.
