Nigeria’s problem is leadership, not potential – Natasha declares

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called for a new style of governance in Nigeria, insisting that the country cannot witness real transformation without accountable leadership

The lawmaker representing Kogi Central said Nigeria’s problem is not the lack of resources but the absence of transparent and responsible leaders who put the people first.

She noted that countless policies and projects have been announced over the years, yet Nigerians are left with little to show for them because accountability is missing at the top.

According to Natasha, real progress depends on leaders who are answerable to the people, not those who chase personal or party interests.

She stressed that transparency in governance, discipline in leadership, and sincerity in policy implementation are the keys to unlocking Nigeria’s growth and development.

The senator further urged Nigerians to demand accountability from politicians at every level, warning that without public pressure, mediocrity will continue to thrive.

Her statement has sparked mixed reactions, with some Nigerians on social media agreeing that accountability is the foundation of good governance, while others expressed doubt that the political class is willing to embrace such change.

For Natasha, however, the message is clear: Nigeria will only experience real transformation when leaders become truly accountable to the people they serve.
