A Nigerian Army officer identified as Lieutenant Samson Haruna has died from severe burns after his wife allegedly set him ablaze during a domestic quarrel in Akwa Ibom State.
According to reports, the tragic incident happened after an argument between the couple turned violent inside their apartment at the army barracks in Akwa Ibom. The wife was said to have poured fuel on him before setting him on fire in anger.
