Tragedy strikes as Nigerian army officer, Lieutenant Samson Haruna passes away after a heated argument with his wife, Rehty.
According to reports, the argument occurred on September 22, 2025, at their house in Akwa Ibom.
Nigerian Army Officer Passes Away After Heated Argument With Wife
The couple who tied the knot on April 20, 2025, had a heated argument at their house, with the circumstances surrounding the argument still unknown.
In a fit of rage during the argument, Rehty doused Samson with petrol and set him on fire.
However, Samson was rushed to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, where he tragically passed away despite the medical practitioners’ efforts to revive him.
In a recent development, Rehty has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

A Nigerian Army Officer, Lieutenant Samson Haruna got married to his wife, Rhety on April 21, 2025. The couple were both living happily in Akwa Ibom.
