Next time they can add anointing oil, holy water – Man reacts to Seyi Tinubu’s 1 million Bibles gift

Popular social media critic, Daniel Regha, has sparked widespread reactions online after commenting on Seyi Tinubu’s plan to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible to Nigerians.

GistReel earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, announced plans to gift one million Bibles to Nigerians in celebration of his 40th birthday.

However, the announcement has drawn mixed reactions, with many citizens questioning the relevance of such a gesture amid the country’s economic hardship.

Joining the conversation, Regha took to social media to express his disapproval. In a sarcastic remark, he suggested that on Seyi’s next birthday, he could also distribute anointing oil and holy water.

Regha wrote: “Seyi Tinubu’s birthday will be celebrated with the disbursement of ‘one million Bibles’ to whoever will accept; A million Bibles, wonderful.

“Maybe next time they can add anointing oil and holy water to facilitate prayers for the poor since that’s what is needed the most in the country now. Again, this is another sl@p to Nigerians. But can we blame anyone for this idea? Men of God set the examples.”

His comment has since generated further debate online, with some supporting his view while others defended Seyi’s action as a gesture of faith.
