The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), says it is committed to enhancing efficiency and service delivery through partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Momodu Dauda, the Comptroller, Cross River/Calabar Free Trade Zone/Akwa Ibom Area Command, stated this in Calabar on Friday.
Dauda spoke when Aniekan Iton, the Chairman, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Calabar branch visited him.
He said that effective collaboration was needed to equip the command’s personnel with the requisite knowledge to meet evolving demands in the logistics and trade environment.
The controller commended the institute for the visit, and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to continuous professional development and operational excellence.
“We are ready to partner relevant stakeholders to strengthen capacity building initiatives, and improved service delivery within the command,” he stated.
Earlier, Iton commended the NCS command for its critical roles in trade facilitation and border management within the region.
The chairman said that the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration with the command, and to promote professional development among its personnel.
