NAIC, BPP Partner to Boost Transparency in Agriculture

The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and stronger collaboration with key government institutions to safeguard the country’s agricultural sector.

On Thursday, NAIC’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani (Turakin Zamfara), led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, in Abuja.

The visit focused on strengthening institutional synergy, enhancing accountability, and improving due process in public procurement, with the ultimate goal of boosting service delivery in the agricultural insurance ecosystem.

Danfulani, who was accompanied by Executive Directors Hon. Abubakar Jarengol (Operations/Technical) and Mr. Ayandayo Babaranti (Finance and Administration), emphasised NAIC’s resolve to align its operations with global standards.

> “At NAIC, we believe that institutional collaboration is a catalyst for sustainable growth. Working closely with the BPP will ensure strict adherence to due process and promote transparency and accountability — principles crucial for the growth of Nigeria’s agricultural insurance sector,” he said.

In his response, Dr. Adedokun commended NAIC’s proactive approach and pledged BPP’s support for initiatives that strengthen governance and institutional integrity.

He stressed that such partnerships were vital for driving Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda, particularly through agriculture.

The renewed collaboration marks a significant step in NAIC’s efforts to deepen inter-agency cooperation, strengthen its operational framework, and support the Federal Government’s vision for a transparent and sustainable public sector.
