The Commander 207 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Group Captain Kahinde Akinyisade had pledged support to Zamfara Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) to reduce road crashes.
The commander made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the FRSC Zamfara Sector Command in Gusau on Wednesday.
Akinyisade said the visit was meant to cement the existing cordial working relationship among the two agencies.
He added that FRSC was a unique organisation with a unique style and one of the trusted agencies of the Federal Government.
The commander said that personnel of the Corps were always clearing obstruction, sensitising public on the proper use of the highway and rescuing crash victims.
“Hence we solicit for continuous collaboration in the areas of Drivers’ training among other means to reducing road traffic fatality and injury, ” he said.
In his remark, the FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Aliyu Ma’aji expressed delight over the visit.
He said that his door remained opened to the commander, assuring him of maximum cooperation needed to achieve zero road traffic crashes in the state.
Highlight of the visit was presentation of souvenir to the commander 207 Quick Response of the Nigerian Air force, Gusau.
