The Nigerian Air Force has launched a nationwide call for young Nigerians to contribute innovative ideas on emerging technologies through the 2025/2026 Chief of the Air Staff Literary Competition.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Air Force said the initiative is aimed at promoting creativity, critical thinking and youth participation in national security discourse.
Ejodame disclosed that the competition commenced on November 21, 2025, and will run until February 28, 2026, providing ample time for interested youths to develop and submit entries.
He explained that the competition was initiated by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, as part of efforts to align youth innovation with the demands of modern air warfare.
“The CAS Literary Competition is designed to sharpen intellectual capacity and stimulate forward-looking ideas capable of shaping the future of air operations,” Ejodame said.
According to him, participants will compete in Essay, Art and Poetry categories, allowing both analytical and creative engagement with the subject matter.
The theme, ‘Optimising Emerging Technologies for Enhanced Air Operations’, he noted, reflects the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Ejodame stressed that the initiative also aims to promote informed youth advocacy and improve civil–military relations.
He added that the Air Force considers the competition a strategic investment in the next generation of innovators and security thinkers.
He urged interested participants to consult the official guidelines for eligibility and submission details.
