NAF Destroys Terrorist Base in Sambisa, Reaffirms Commitment to National Security

By Chimezie Godfrey

‎The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Wednesday confirmed it carried out a successful intelligence-driven strike on a terrorist enclave at ARRA, within the Sambisa general area, on 19 November 2025.

‎In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was executed under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI.

‎Ejodame explained that the strike followed persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions which traced hostile movements linked to the 17 October ambush at KASHOMRI.

‎He said ISR coverage revealed suspicious activities and operational structures at ARRA, leading to a deliberate Air Interdiction mission in which NAF platforms engaged all assigned targets in coordinated and successive passes.

‎“All identified targets were destroyed, and the mission achieved its intended effects,” he stated, noting that the operation significantly degraded the terrorists’ capabilities and disrupted their command and logistics networks.

‎The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity, supporting ground troops, and sustaining pressure on terrorist elements across all fronts.
