NAF celebrates women’s contributions to national defence

‎The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has praised the courage and dedication of its female personnel as the world marks the 2026 International Women’s Day.

‎The Air Force said women serving in the force have continued to play vital roles in strengthening operational effectiveness and national security.

‎In a statement marking the occasion, the service noted that this year’s celebration, themed “Give to Gain – Generosity, Collaboration and Collective Uplift,” underscores the importance of teamwork and collective progress.

‎“The Nigerian Air Force celebrates the exceptional courage, professionalism and dedication of its women, whose contributions continue to strengthen operational excellence across every sphere of service,” the statement said.

‎The Air Force stated that female officers and airwomen have consistently demonstrated leadership and professionalism in their duties.

‎“Their commitment to duty, teamwork and leadership reflects the very spirit of this year’s theme,” the statement added.

‎NAF also reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women within the service.

‎“The Nigerian Air Force remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women, fostering equality and creating opportunities for every female officer and airwoman to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the defence of our nation,” the statement said.
