“My money is my money, while my husband’s money is general family money” — Woman insists

A woman has triggered heated reactions online after stating that she does not believe a woman should contribute financially in her marriage.

In a viral video, she boldly declared that her money is strictly hers, while her husband’s money belongs to both of them.

According to her, a woman’s cash should not be touched in marriage, insisting that all financial responsibilities rest on the man.

She maintained that in her own case, her money does not come out at all, as she believes the man should carry the financial burden.

“In terms of money, my money is my money, my husband’s money is general, it’s our money. So my cash doesn’t come out at all”

The statement has divided social media users, with many men describing the mindset as entitlement and dangerous, while some women defended the position, arguing that marriage roles should be clearly defined from the start.

@OkochaCfc commented: “Marriage is a partnership, that’s the only way to grow. We are both working but you want only me to contribute? It’s witchcraft of the highest order.”
