The father of the late Arise TV reporter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, has raised suspicions over the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death, insisting she was murdered and did not jump from a storey building as earlier reported.
Engr. Ifeanyi Maduagwu made the claim while reacting to reports that his daughter died during an armed robbery attack at her residence in Abuja.

It would be recalled that the incident had occurred in September at Katampe area of Abuja.
Whole speaking with BBC Igbo, Sommie’s father noted that his daughyehom he knows would never have jumped from a storey building just because she saw armed robbers.

He noted that something isn’t right, maintaining that his daughter was murdered.


He opens up on when he received the news
While speaking on when he received the bad news, he noted that he was offshore when he received a call from a friend about his daughter, notifying him that his daughter was ‘injured’ and his attention was needed.
Few moments later, his son who lives in Budapest also called him asking what was happening.
When he informed him about what his friend said, that Sommie was injured by robbers, the son broke the truth to him, causing him to shed tears.
