Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi, a veteran Nollywood actress, has spoken about her late father.
In an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast by Glitch Africa Studios, Anunobi stated that when she painted her fingernails for the first time it made her father extremely angry. She said her father even wanted to cut off her fingers because of it.
Anunobi also said her father strongly opposed her decision to become an actress. She said her father wanted her to study law instead. She said her father almost disowned her for deciding to be an actress.
In Anunobi’s words: “You know I have not been able to tell you about all the things I went through with my father, how he wanted to cut off my fingers because i painted my fingers for the first time, how he wanted to disown me because I went into acting and refused to do the law he wanted. You know there is so many stories. So eventually when I even started acting I used to jump the fence to go out for audition. He informally disowned me (sic)”See_More…
