MTN Nigeria delivered a strong performance in the first nine months of 2025, recording a 57.1% increase in service revenue.
The sharp rise in Nigeria contributed to MTN Group’s 25.9% overall jump in service revenue over the same period.
Rising data usage, broader fintech adoption, and adjustments to tariffs helped support the strong recovery in the Nigerian market.
Improved access to digital services and a stabilizing economic environment further aided topline momentum.
MTN Group also reported that its customer base expanded to approximately 301 million subscribers with data revenue growing about 40% and fintech revenue up more than 35%.
Despite slower progress in some other markets, Nigeria continues to anchor MTN’s regional performance and remains central to the company’s broader investment and digital-expansion strategy across Africa.
Industry analysts say MTN’s strong Nigerian results may help support investor confidence in telecom-driven economic activity, particularly as digital transactions and mobile connectivity deepen their contribution to national productivity.
