A student of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), identified as Shafiu Auwal Ibrahim, who went missing four years ago, has been found alive in Kaduna State.
This was revealed in multiple reports making the rounds on social media.
Man goes missing
Shafiu, a resident of the Janbulo area in Kano, disappeared in 2021, sparking a widespread search by his family, friends, and the university community.
For years, the family who kept hope alive had continued to search for him with no idea as to his whereabouts and wellbeing.
Shafiu gets found
Family sources revealed that he was located in a village in Kaduna, where he had been living with an Islamic cleric. The cleric reportedly explained that he took Shafiu in after finding him in a mentally unstable condition several years ago.
Although no revelation was made as to his current condition, and whether he is now mentally stable.
After years of anxiety and uncertainty, the family expressed gratitude to God for Shafiu’s safe return.
He has since reunited with his relatives and is reportedly in good health and stable condition.
