Mid-Air Altercation: VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof Clash On Commercial Flight

A shocking incident aboard a commercial flight has gone viral, featuring social media critic Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, famously referred to as Mr Jollof, engaging in a physical altercation. Fellow passengers, including comedian Funny Bone, were seen scrambling to intervene and separate the two.

The footage, posted by Facebook user Dr Paul Ezikel on Monday, captures the duo exchanging blows on a United Nigeria Airlines flight reportedly travelling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.

VDM and Mr Jollof have a tumultuous history of online disputes, with tensions heightening after VDM accused Mr Jollof’s wife of involvement with internet fraudsters—a claim that ignited significant controversy.

Following the incident, VDM took to his Facebook page to confirm the altercation, boasting that he had “dealt with” Mr Jollof. In a subsequent video, he revealed bite marks on his torso, stating, “He bit me… a man who bites has no shame. They begged him. I entered the plane, saw him, and said, ‘You will slap me today.’ I approached him, and he punched me. He has ruined my tattoo now with his unbrushed teeth.” He further taunted the comedian, adding, “I have eaten Jollof’s father on the plane.”

In response to the incident, Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), issued a statement on X, requesting further details to assist in the investigation.

This unexpected mid-air confrontation has sparked widespread discussion on social media, highlighting the increasingly volatile nature of celebrity feuds and their potential consequences in public spaces.
