“Marriage is not by force” — Etinosa Idemudia reacts to Regina Daniels’ marital crisis

Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has criticised men who compel their wives to return home after marital disputes, describing the act as “foolish” and “oppressive.”

The actress made her remarks in a recent post on Instagram while addressing the ongoing tension between actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Etinosa, known for her outspoken views, said no one should be forced to stay in a marriage against their will. According to her, relationships built on coercion lack peace and mutual respect.

Some men are very foolish! After using oppression to forcefully bring your wife back to the house, will you be comfortable sleeping there and eating that same woman’s food? Marriage should not be by force,” she wrote.

Her statement comes amid social media uproar over reports of domestic issues between Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko.

The controversy escalated after Regina’s family accused the politician of assault and harassment, while Nwoko alleged that his wife was battling addiction and violent behaviour.

She questioned why some men prioritise control over emotional well-being and safety.

The actress further extended her message beyond marriage, stressing that “no means no” in all contexts, including sexual consent.

Calls for respect and emotional maturity in unions

Etinosa emphasised that mutual understanding and consent should be the foundation of every marriage.

She noted that forcing a partner into reconciliation only worsens resentment and emotional harm.
