Many trapped as four-storey building collapses in Port Harcourt

Many people have reportedly been trapped after a four-storey building under construction collapsed on Odili Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

TheNewsGuru reports that eyewitnesses revealed that the building was planned as either a hotel or a shopping complex. It collapsed late Wednesday morning, causing panic among nearby residents and workers.

At the time of this report, emergency responders and local volunteers were working hard to clear debris and search for anyone who might be trapped under the rubble.

Eyewitnesses said the building was nearly finished before it suddenly collapsed. The cause of the incident is still unknown.

Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the cause of the collapse and account for all persons believed to have been on the site.
