Many Church Members Don’t Want Doctrine, They Want Drama, They Want Destiny Shortcuts- Bamiloye

In a recent post shared on Facebook, Mike Bamiloye expressed concern about what he sees as a troubling trend within many congregations.

He wrote, “Many church members don’t want doctrine, they want drama.” According to him, there is a growing preference for excitement and spectacle rather than sound biblical teaching rooted in Scripture.

He continued by stating, “They don’t want discipleship, they want destiny shortcuts.”

In his view, some believers are no longer willing to commit to the steady, disciplined process of spiritual growth.

Instead, they seek quick solutions and instant breakthroughs that promise success without the patience and dedication true discipleship requires.

Bamiloye also noted, “They don’t want corrections, they want confirmation.”

He suggested that rather than embracing guidance, rebuke, or constructive criticism that could strengthen their faith, many people prefer messages that simply affirm their current desires and choices.

This, he implied, creates an environment where truth may be overshadowed by personal preference.

He went on to contrast two types of pastors. The one “who labors in Scripture, who studies to teach accurately, who refuses to monetize prophecy,” he explained, may appear unsuccessful in worldly terms.

Such a minister prioritizes faithful teaching and integrity over popularity or financial gain.

Meanwhile, he observed that “the one who commercializes anointing is successful,” highlighting the irony that those who turn spiritual gifts into products often seem to thrive.See_More…
