A man has been apprehended after he was reportedly caught breaking into a church to steal items, including electric fans and other equipment.
In a video circulating online, the suspect admitted to scaling the church fence early in the morning, forcing his way into the building and carting away valuables.
He confessed, saying he “came to the church this morning to steal,” explaining that he jumped the fence, broke the door, and took two fans along with other church property.
“I come church this morning come thief. I fly fence enter, break the door con carry two fans, church equipments…” The alleged thief said.
Church members who confronted him accused the suspect of being responsible for previous missing items, noting that he often visited the church to play instruments and that equipment frequently disappeared shortly after his visits.
They declared that his arrest was proof that “God has exposed” the true culprit behind the repeated thefts.
“You are responsible for other things that have been missing in this church because you are one of those people that come to play instrument in this church, each time you come here, after one week, or three days things will miss. Today God has exposed you,” a church member said.
