Man breeds deadly scorpions, reportedly sells their venom for ₦30 billion per gallon

A fearless man has stunned many online after sharing a video of his unusual business venture, a scorpion farm where he breeds the deadly creatures and milks their venom for commercial purposes.

In the viral video shared on TikTok, the man, identified as Scorpion Breeder, could be seen walking around a large enclosure filled with hundreds of scorpions.

He fearlessly picked them up and demonstrated how the venom is carefully extracted.

His calmness around the deadly creatures left viewers both shocked and fascinated.

The World’s Most Expensive Liquid

According to Encyclopedia Britannica, scorpion venom is the most expensive liquid on Earth, valued at about ₦30 billion per gallon (approximately $39 million).

The process of collecting it, however, is extremely tedious. A single scorpion must be “milked” over 2.6 million times to produce just one gallon of venom.

Why Scorpion Venom Is So Valuable

Scorpion venom is highly sought after in the medical field. Experts say it has several potential uses, including detecting brain tumors, treating malaria, and developing painkillers.

Because of its rarity and the risk involved in obtaining it, the venom commands such an astronomical price.

Mixed Reactions from Netizens

The video quickly gathered thousands of reactions from TikTok users. While some praised the breeder’s courage, others admitted they couldn’t even imagine being in the same room with a scorpion.
