In a recent video shared on Symfoni TV, former Governor of Rivers State and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, criticized the current government’s performance, questioning its record on national development and public service delivery. Speaking to supporters, Amaechi challenged the administration to demonstrate tangible achievements beyond allegations of corruption.
According to Amaechi, “Let this government show one thing it has done in the north or south apart from stealing money.” He used the remark to highlight what he described as widespread dissatisfaction with governance, stressing the need for accountability and results-oriented leadership across all regions of the country.
Amaechi argued that citizens deserve governments that prioritize development, infrastructure, and the welfare of the people rather than self-enrichment. He called on Nigerians to hold leaders accountable and to critically evaluate government policies and projects before lending their support. According to him, national progress cannot be achieved when public resources are mismanaged.
He further urged political supporters to remain focused on strengthening democratic processes, emphasizing that advocacy, civic engagement, and active participation in elections are key to demanding better governance. Amaechi said meaningful change requires both citizens and leaders to prioritize national interest over personal gain.
Concluding his remarks, Amaechi stressed the importance of vigilance and informed decision-making in politics. He insisted that governments must be measured by concrete achievements and public impact rather than rhetoric, urging Nigerians to insist on transparency, accountability, and the equitable distribution of resources across all parts of the country.See_More…
