A lecturer at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has left Nigerians amused after posting a video of how his students interpreted his instruction to “dress corporate”.
According to the lecturer identified on TikTok as @badboyy.mo, he had instructed his students to dress in corporate outfits for a class presentation.
In the viral clip, the students arrived in outfits that were anything but formal. Some wore wrinkled shirts paired with jeans, others came in slippers, while a few simply tucked casual shirts into trousers and added a belt.
The lecturer, both amused and disappointed, captioned the video: “Corporate dey cry”, highlighting how far off their dressing was from standard corporate fashion.
The video immediately sparked laughter and banter online. Some commenters joked that such dressing could only be expected in a polytechnic environment, while others defended the students, suggesting that they may have simply worked with what they had.
