A Nigerian lady has sparked discussion online after sharing what she noticed about how tithes and offerings are paid during the ongoing Hallelujah Challenge, a popular online praise and prayer event hosted by gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey.
In a video posted by @blazefood7 on TikTok, the lady explained that participants who wish to give offerings or pay tithes during the program must do so through a website.
According to her, this has discouraged many Nigerians, including herself, from giving.
Her Words on the Difficulty of Offering and Tithe Payment
Speaking candidly in the video, she said:
“You see that website they used to project after the Hallelujah Challenge for partnership. Nigerians are very lazy, including myself. Pastor Nathaniel does not want us to pay tithe. He doesn’t want us to pay offering. Why will he put it as website?”
Viewers React to Her Statement
The video generated a wave of reactions on social media platforms, especially TikTok.
Many users agreed with her, saying they also found it difficult to complete the payment process through the provided website.
Some said they usually lose interest once they have to leave the live session to make a payment.
Others, however, defended the arrangement, arguing that using a website ensures transparency and orderliness, especially since the Hallelujah Challenge attracts a global audience.
