Lady who attended Hallelujah Challenge cries out over drinks, snacks sold at unbelievable prices at venue

A Nigerian lady who attended the recently concluded Hallelujah Challenge Festival in Lagos has cried out over the alleged high prices of drinks and snacks sold at the venue.

Her complaint has stirred reactions from many attendees who shared similar experiences online.

“Pepsi That’s ₦500, They Sold ₦700” — Lady Laments

In a TikTok video shared by user @giftstyledit, the lady expressed shock at how vendors inflated the prices of common refreshments during the event.

She said: “Can you imagine? They are selling Pepsi and Coke; Pepsi that is ₦500, they are selling it ₦700. And they said the space will be free o, later they will be saying Nigeria is bad. Buying egg roll ₦800 and bottled water ₦400… Haba, how will Nigeria be good?”

Her comments quickly resonated with many Nigerians, especially those who also attended the event.

Attendees React Online

Shortly after the video surfaced, several social media users took to the comments section to share their frustrations.

Some confirmed that prices were indeed high, while others argued that such hikes were expected during large public gatherings.

A user @Idara wrote: “Bottle water I bought 500 there , I got chair 500 we got four chairs!!! Omo something wey be church dem no fear God. No empty chairs oo we had to buy chairs just to seat.. Omo we suffered yesterday o.”

Another @oluwanifemi commented, “You people ehh. We that we bought food 7k tasteless self no come online chai.”

The Hallelujah Challenge Festival

The Hallelujah Challenge Festival, organized by gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, held at the Police College Ground, Ikeja, Lagos, marked the grand finale of the 25-day Hallelujah Challenge.

The event drew a massive crowd of worshippers who came together for a night of praise, worship, and thanksgiving.

Despite the joyful atmosphere, the issue of inflated prices left a sour taste for some attendees who felt the organizers should have regulated vendors at the venue.
