A young lady has stirred heated conversations on social media after she revealed the shocking state of her boyfriend’s kitchen when she paid him an unannounced visit.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the lady recorded her boyfriend’s kitchen, leaving many netizens stunned by the level of untidiness.
The short clip, which has attracted thousands of views, was captioned: “POV: You went to your boyfriend’s place unannounced and his kitchen looks like this.”
Lady shocked by dirty kitchen
In the footage, the lady filmed several parts of the kitchen, including a dirty floor littered with debris, piles of unwashed dishes, spoilt food left inside the sink, and greasy cooking pots scattered around.
She appeared disappointed by what she found, especially considering that the kitchen is supposed to be one of the cleanest areas in a home.
Her post immediately drew widespread attention online, with many users weighing in on the issue of hygiene, cleanliness, and how men maintain their living spaces when living alone.
Mixed reactions trail the video
The video has since ignited a flood of reactions on social media, with many people sharing differing opinions about the situation.
Some users criticised the man for being unhygienic, while others argued that not all men are the same and that a messy kitchen shouldn’t define a person’s overall character.
A user identified as Hamxher wrote: “This one na dirty man o, some boys clean abeg.”
Another user, Mr. David, commented: “This should be a red flag for any self respecting woman.”
Reacting to the video, Gentleman stated: “If you stick around and get married to him, don’t complain when he does this in marriage.”
For Warazi, the situation was not as bad as others assumed. He said: “The guy is neat sef 😂 Try visiting some boys forming online here, u go just run away.”
Meanwhile, Rockor criticised both the man and his friends, writing: “This one na proper dirty boy, and he didn’t do that alone..his friends too, if kitchen go dirty no be every corner suppose dirty..I sure say the room go dirty too.”
