Lady shares near-death experience after a fake surgeon did her BBL

A Nigerian lady has gone viral after sharing her shocking near-death experience following a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in Lagos, revealing that the person who operated on her was not a certified doctor.

In an emotional video shared on X (formally Twitter) by @dammiedammie35, the lady warned other women planning cosmetic surgery:

“You want to get your body done, BBL or liposuction, but do you know you have to make your own research? I got my body done in April and it was the worst mistake of my life. I used over ₦7 million to treat complications, I’m not exaggerating o.”

She explained that she decided to undergo the surgery after seeing influencers promote the clinic online. Unfortunately, things went terribly wrong just days after the procedure.

“Please, don’t go to a hospital because of influencers. Do your due diligence. There are good hospitals in Lagos, but first ask, is your doctor a plastic surgeon? Anything can happen and they will leave you on the bed,” she warned.

She later discovered that the person who operated on her was just a nurse, not a certified plastic surgeon.

Her confession has sparked massive reactions online. Many sympathized, noting that influencer marketing around cosmetic surgery has become dangerous. Others advised women to love their natural bodies rather than risk their lives for a “snatched shape.”

Her story is a painful reminder that BBL surgeries carry real risks, and trusting unlicensed hands can quickly turn beauty dreams into a life-threatening nightmare.
