A woman has shared her emotional ordeal after being entangled in a long-term relationship with a married man who repeatedly promised to marry her once his ailing wife passed away.
According to her account, the relationship began in 2018 when the man approached her, claiming his wife was gravely ill.
Lady shares her discussion with the man
He assured her that once his wife “went to heaven,” she would take her place. Believing him, she gave the relationship a chance, and the pair welcomed their first child in 2019 and another in 2021.
Despite years passing, the man’s wife remained alive, and whenever the woman questioned him about it, he would respond that “everything is in God’s hands.” Frustrated, she ended the relationship in 2023, though the man continued to provide for their children.
Lover’s wife gets hospitalised
However, late last year, the man informed her that his wife had been hospitalized for three weeks, rekindling her hope that she might finally be with him. Encouraged by this, she decided to give him another chance, only to become pregnant again in April 2024.
After she informed him about the pregnancy, the man revealed that his wife had recovered and returned home, though he claimed they were now sleeping in separate bedrooms. The woman, heartbroken and uncertain about her future, confessed that she has been patient for years but now feels trapped in a cycle of false hope and broken promises.
Her words …
“Please keep me anonymous.
In 2018, a man approached me and asked for a chance to occupy my heart. He told me he was married but that his wife was very sick. I decided to give him a chance because he told me that once she goes to heaven, I would replace her.
We had a baby in 2019 and another one in 2021. When I ask him about the wife going to heaven, he always says everything is in God’s hands. I broke up with him in 2023, but he continued to support our children.
Late last year, he called to tell me his wife had been in the hospital for three weeks. That call gave me hope that there was light at the end of the tunnel, so I gave him another chance.
I fell pregnant in April this year with our third baby. Immediately after I told him I was pregnant, he told me his wife got discharged but that they sleep in separate bedrooms.
I honestly don’t know anymore. I’ve been patient for years, but nothing is happening.”
