A lady has shared how her friend was allegedly scammed in Lagos while trying to donate her eggs for ₦170,000.
In a viral video on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she explained that her friend heard about an egg donation programme in a hospital and decided to give it a try, but ended up being scammed.
According to her, when her friend arrived at the hospital, she was told that because of her looks and height, she would be paid between ₦170,000 and ₦200,000.
She went through some tests, and the doctors confirmed that she was fine and her eggs were good. She was then asked to return the next day.
When she came back, the doctor gave her some injections. Moments later, she began to feel strange and lost control of herself.
By the time she recovered, the doctor told her that her eggs were bad and could not be used. She left the hospital feeling heartbroken.
A week later, she started experiencing nonstop bleeding. Worried, she went to another hospital where she was examined. To her shock, she was told that her eggs had already been taken.
She was further informed that her health problems were caused by the hormonal injections given to her earlier.
