A Nigerian lady identified as @nor_mad_ on X (formerly Twitter) has announced the end of her engagement to her photographer fiancé, Eddie Ekwere, months after their proposal photos went viral.
In March, the couple gained widespread attention after their proposal pictures trended online, with many social media users admiring Eddie’s good looks and celebrating their love story.
However, in a sudden twist, @nor_mad_ revisited the same proposal photos on her X page to announce that the relationship had ended.
She captioned the post simply: “Well e don cast.”
Public service announcement
Following a flood of reactions from curious followers, the lady posted a video to clear the air.
In it, she said, “So I brought out my phone and my mic to make a public service announcement. The public service announcement is that I am no longer engaged. I am no longer in a relationship. I’m not going to explain why. I just want to be over and done with the whole commenting and everything that has to do with my relationship. I’m now single. That’s literally the announcement I came to make.”
