Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Organizes Send Forth for Retirees

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has organized a send forth ceremony for four retirees of the Board today in Ilorin.

The Permanent Secretary for General Services at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdulganiy Shuaib-Yitta, advised civil servants not to lobby for extensions beyond their retirement age.

He praised the retirees for ending well and urged other serving staff members to emulate them by serving with dedication and commitment to duty.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalami AbdulKabir thanked the retirees for their active service and acknowledged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the timely release of funds for the Board’s projects.

Also speaking, Alhaji Mahmud Bube who represented the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Mahmud Jimba, thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged continued support to the Board.
He also prayed for the success of the Governor and his cabinet.

The four retirees honoured were: Hajia Taibat Abdulhameed Abdullahi (CFA), Hajia Hadizat Funmilayo Adisa (Staff Officer), Hajia Kuburat Toyin Jimoh (Staff Officer) and Hajia Fatimat Bashir (Chief Executive Officer, Account)

The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the four celebrants by the Permanent Secretary General Service and the Executive Secretary of the Board.
