Keystone Bank Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a capacity-building programme organised in partnership with the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
The initiative was designed to equip entrepreneurs with practical skills to improve business operations, strengthen governance, and position their enterprises for sustainable growth.
According to a statement issued by the bank on Monday, the training sessions covered credit and investment readiness, tax and regulatory compliance, and business scaling strategies.
Participants also received guidance on improving access to finance, building stronger operational structures, and enhancing their competitiveness in an evolving business environment.
Olayemi Sule, group head of Retail and Digital Banking at Keystone Bank, said the programme reflects the bank’s strategy of supporting SMEs beyond the provision of credit.
“SMEs remain the backbone of Nigeria’s economy, and access to finance alone is not enough. That is why Keystone Bank continues to invest in capacity-building initiatives that strengthen business management, improve regulatory compliance, and enhance investment readiness,” Sule said.
Hhe added that the bank remains committed to supporting entrepreneurs through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions that promote business resilience and long-term economic growth.
Keystone Bank said its collaboration with NACCIMA and SMEDAN underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in developing a more resilient SME ecosystem.
The lender noted that the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of advancing enterprise development by equipping businesses with the knowledge and capabilities needed to scale and compete effectively.
