Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has extended Christmas greetings to Nigerians, urging citizens to pray for peace, unity, and national cohesion during the festive season.
Describing Christmas as a time for reflection, joy, and compassion, the governor said the period offers an opportunity to seek divine guidance for the progress of Kebbi State and the country as a whole.
Idris highlighted Nigeria’s multi-religious and multi-ethnic diversity, describing it as a strength that should foster tolerance, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahya Sarki, the governor encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful, expressing confidence that coordinated efforts across all levels of government would lead to improved economic and social conditions.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment, in partnership with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, to advancing development in Kebbi State, citing progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and social empowerment over the past two years.
The governor also called on wealthy individuals to support the less privileged, noting that acts of generosity would help strengthen social harmony and shared prosperity.
Idris thanked the people of Kebbi State for their continued support and assured them of his administration’s resolve to justify the confidence reposed in it.
