The Kano State Police Command has arrested nine young men suspected of involvement in multiple armed robberies across Kano, Kaduna, and Abuja.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori made the announcement during a press briefing on Monday in Kano. He stated that the arrests followed a violent robbery on October 8, 2025, at Unguwar Wambai in Dorayi Babba Quarters, Kano.
The suspects, aged between 17 and 24, reportedly confessed to participating in several robberies, including a recent attack at Unguwar Jakada.
Police recovered weapons during the operation, including a double-barrel gun, an English Falcon pistol, a scrapped Phoenix pistol, an iron cutter, and several cutlasses.
Bakori confirmed that the suspects would face prosecution once investigations are completed, while authorities continue efforts to recover additional stolen property.
