Kalu lauds Tinubu for appointing Eze as FCC commissioner

By Christian Ogbonna

Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for the appointment and inauguration of Mr Peter Eze as the Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Enugu State.

Kalu, a former Governor of Abia, made the commendation in a statement on his social media handle on Tuesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tinubu recently swore in Eze alongside the Chairman of the commission, Mrs Ayo Omidiran, and 36 other commissioners at the State House, Abuja.

Reacting to the appointment, Kalu expressed gratitude to the President, describing the decision as a deliberate move to encourage capable young Nigerians committed to public service.

“I thank President Tinubu for the appointment. He knows Peter very well and recognises his capacity and readiness to serve and encourage young people,” Kalu said.

He expressed optimism that Eze’s performance at the FCC would position him for greater responsibilities in the future.

Kalu added that effective politics involved identifying the needs of the people, working to meet those needs and earning their support in return. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
