The professional forum “Kaduna Scribes” has dismissed recent reports suggesting that Southern Kaduna, particularly Kauru Local Government Area, has been neglected amid rising insecurity.
In a statement issued Friday, the forum’s National Chairman, Comrade Ezekiel Gambo, described the claims as “misleading and unfounded,” emphasizing that they fail to reflect the proactive security measures implemented by Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
While acknowledging that isolated security incidents continue in parts of Kauru and other communities, Kaduna Scribes said portraying the situation as government neglect is a “gross distortion of facts” and a “flawed narrative.”
The forum noted that tackling insurgency and banditry is complex, and no credible leader, including Governor Sani, would remain passive in the face of threats to peace and stability.
Since assuming office, Governor Sani has prioritized protecting lives, restoring peace, and promoting unity across Southern Kaduna, the statement said, highlighting an intelligence-driven security strategy based on collaboration, inclusiveness, and sustainability.
Gambo outlined key measures, including regular high-level security meetings with service chiefs, the Kaduna State Security Council, and community stakeholders, as well as enhanced troop deployments and patrols in vulnerable communities.
He also highlighted ongoing engagement with traditional rulers, youth groups, and religious leaders to strengthen intelligence gathering, alongside rehabilitation programs and support for the safe return of displaced persons.
Kaduna Scribes described the administration’s “whole-of-society approach” as deliberate, consistent, and yielding measurable results despite challenges posed by criminal elements.
The forum urged community leaders and stakeholders to support security efforts constructively rather than amplifying narratives that could heighten fear or disrupt operations.
It reaffirmed confidence in Governor Uba Sani, stating that his government remains committed to rescuing abducted persons, protecting lives and property, and consolidating lasting peace across Southern Kaduna.
