The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test conducted on March 28, 2026.
Candidates who participated in the exercise can now check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used during registration.
Participation and Technical Issues
According to JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination.
However, only 152,586 candidates were able to successfully sit for the test.
The examination was held across 989 Computer-Based Test centres nationwide, although several centres experienced technical difficulties during the exercise.
JAMB confirmed that more than 20 CBT centres were delisted due to issues that disrupted the smooth conduct of the exam.
Warning Against Fraud
The board also raised concerns about fraudsters targeting candidates online, especially on WhatsApp, with false promises of score upgrades.
Benjamin warned that such claims are illegal, stressing that any candidate found engaging in such acts risks having their registration cancelled.
He added that results linked to malpractice may also be withheld or withdrawn, even after release.
Glitches Affect Candidates
Some candidates faced delays and disruptions during the mock exam due to server failures, power outages, and late commencement at certain centres.
In some cases, candidates were reportedly left waiting for hours before they could sit for the test.
Main UTME Date Announced
Despite the setbacks recorded during the mock exercise, JAMB has advised candidates to remain calm and follow only official channels for updates and result checking.
The board also reminded candidates that the main UTME is scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026.
