Prince Emmanuel Kanu, brother to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu has raised an alarm over the presence of heavy security operatives in the separatist’s home.
Prince Kanu raised the alarm in a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday morning ahead of the long awaited judgment on Kanu’s terrorism-related cases.
He wrote, “Breaking news! Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s family house is currently surrounded by a large number of security agents.We are alerting the whole world”.
DAILY POST reports that Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, is expected to declare judgement on a series of applications filed by the Federal Government against Kanu today.
The separatist, who has been in custody since 2021 is facing seven terrorism-related charges bordering on alleged incitement, running an unlawful group, and acts threatening national security.
This has triggered tension and uncertainty in some areas in the South Eastern part of the country.
