Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement followed a high-level APC stakeholders’ meeting held over the weekend, which also passed a vote of confidence in the party’s national chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Plateau State chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature.
A communique released in Jos by Hon. John Pius Dung and Da Davou Dangyang noted that the resolution came after resolving differences among party stakeholders. The move is seen as a demonstration of renewed unity within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
The communique stated that Jos South APC stakeholders “fully support President Bola Tinubu and the party at the national level under the exemplary leadership of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda,” pledging to continue working together to secure electoral victory and promote good governance.
The meeting underscored the commitment of party members in Jos South to consolidate support for APC and ensure a coordinated approach toward the upcoming general elections.
