A heartbroken mother in Jos has spoken about the painful loss of her only son, Promise, who was killed during the Palm Sunday violence in Angwan Rukuba.
According to a video shared by Worship Media TV, she explained that Promise was her only male child and meant everything to her. Even in the middle of her grief, she said she still gives thanks to God, believing that her son’s life was a gift from Him and that He has now taken him back.
The grieving woman also shared her belief that the deaths of her son and other victims will not be in vain. She expressed hope that justice will be achieved and that those responsible will be held accountable.
Earlier, a video of the mother went viral, showing her holding her son’s body in deep distress. The emotional scene highlighted the heavy toll the attack has taken on families in the community.
While mourning her loss, she continues to hold on to faith and the hope that something good will come out of the tragedy.
The incident has left residents in shock and has renewed calls for better security and protection of lives to prevent similar attacks in the future.
According to her, “All I can say is that Promise is my only male child that I have, he is the only thing that I have. But I give God the glory, he is the one that gave me promise and he is the one that took him back. I am saying thank you, Jesus. But I strongly believe that the blood of Promise and the innocent people that they shed will never go in vain”
