Jandor Reaffirms Interest in 2027 Lagos Governorship Race

Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has reaffirmed his intention to contest the 2027 Lagos State governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made the declaration in a broadcast aired across several media platforms.

Adediran said the political environment is gradually taking shape ahead of the 2027 general elections, especially following the signing of the Electoral Act 2026 by President Bola Tinubu and the ongoing APC congresses across the country to elect new party executives.

He recalled that he had publicly declared his governorship ambition as early as October 2025, describing the move as a deliberate effort to encourage discussions on governance and development in Lagos State.

According to him, his aspiration is built on years of studying governance and public administration, which he said are key to delivering effective and sustainable leadership.

Adediran also referenced President Tinubu’s popular remark that “power is not served à la carte,” noting that anyone seeking leadership must be bold and open about their ambition while engaging party members and the public in the political process.
