JAMB 2026 Mop Up Exam Has Been Scheduled for June 13

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled the mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for Saturday, June 13, 2026, for applicants who were unable to sit the exam despite having their biometrics verified.

JAMB confirmed this in a statement made on Monday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin. According to the board, the mop-up test is for applicants who applied for the 2026 UTME but were unable to take the exam due to technical difficulties and other issues experienced during the process.

“The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, 13th June, 2026 for the conduct of the UTME mop-up examination for all candidates who presented themselves and were biometrically verified for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but were unable to sit the examination for one reason or another,” the statement said.

JAMB stated that the 2026 UTME was held between April 23 and 29, 2026, but several test centres encountered technical issues, preventing many applicants from taking the exam.

The board also indicated that some results were removed due to examination violations, and that certain applicants who took the exam could not be biometrically validated.

It reported that all affected candidates have been identified for the mop-up operation.

JAMB described the activity as the final part of the yearly UTME procedure, stating that it would provide an opportunity to resolve all outstanding concerns concerning applicants who encountered difficulty while properly presenting themselves for the examination.

The board urged affected candidates to print their examination notification slips beginning Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Affected candidates are hereby urged to print their Examination Notification Slips, familiarise themselves with their examination centres, and make all necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date, as there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise,” the board stated.

The 2026 UTME was held in April, with over two million candidates taking part in the countrywide examination.

JAMB has now issued the results, maintained the minimum admission cut-off marks of 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics, and provided a portal for students who want to modify their course or institution.
