According to a report by Daily Post, on Wednesday March 4, 2026, Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of Church of Christ in Nations in Barkin Ladi, has stated that people in rural communities of Plateau State are ready to protect themselves against possible future attacks.
Dachomo spoke after reports that some extremists may plan new violence after the Muslim fasting period, he said social media posts suggested that attacks might increase in parts of northern Nigeria.
The cleric said that past attacks had already caused pain and fear in many communities and added that many villagers feel exposed because they live in remote areas with limited security presence.
He said there were claims that some fighters were being brought from other states to carry out violence, according to him, residents have heard threats that killings may continue after Ramadan.
Dachomo said community members should not remain passive in the face of danger and stated that villagers, especially Christians living in rural settlements, must take steps to stay alert and defend their homes if necessary.
He said the people are tired of violence and want peace in their towns and added that residents are willing to stand firm and respond if attackers try to harm them.
The cleric advised people to watch unusual movements around their communities and encouraged villagers to cooperate and share information that may help security efforts.
“The Islamist terrorists said that after their fasting, they would resume the killings. But this time, we are ready for them. They have already brought in more armed Fulani mercenaries from Sokoto and other states to fight and kill us,” the fiery man of God said.See_More…
