“Iran’s Senior Leaders Are Dead. Even Governing Council To Select New Leader Is Also Dead -Hegseth

In a recent video on Sky Tv, Pete Hegseth provided a stark assessment of Iran’s current military and leadership status amid ongoing tensions in the region.

“Iran’s senior leaders are dead,” Hegseth said. “The so-called governing council that might have selected a successor—dead, missing, or cowering in bunkers, too terrified to even occupy the same room.”

He detailed the wider impact on the Iranian military, explaining, “Senior generals, mid-level officers, enlisted ranks, they can’t talk or communicate, let alone mount a coordinated and sustained offensive. That’s not great for morale.”

Hegseth also criticized the state of Iran’s air capabilities, noting, “The Iranian Air Force is no more built for 1996, destroyed in 2026.”

His remarks reveals the U.S. perspective that Iran’s leadership and military infrastructure have been severely weakened, leaving the country struggling to organize an effective response.

The analysis points to continued U.S. and allied confidence in their operational control, as Iran faces both leadership chaos and diminished military effectiveness.See_More…
