A group, Women Community in Africa, (WCA), has described the incessant kidnap of school children in Nigeria as traumatic.
WCA in a statement at the weekend everyone must reject the evil which targets the most vulnerable.
Dr. Adetoun Adeola Dally, Global President, WCA in the statement said
“The heartbreaking reality of the incessant kidnapping of school children in Nigeria is traumatic.
“As a people, we must completely and without excuse reject this evil that targets our most vulnerable. Our Children belong in classrooms, not in captivity. Every child has the right to learn, grow, and dream without fear.
According to WCA, “The repeated abductions are not just an attack on families, they are an attack on our future, our dignity, and the foundation of our society. We cannot be silent while trauma replaces childhood, and fear replaces freedom.
“We call on the Nigerian government and security agencies, to act decisively, urgently, and sustainably to protect our children. We demand accountability, intelligence-driven rescue operations, and long-term policies that make schools safe again.
“Women Community in Africa, (WCA) stands in solidarity with every affected family. We lend our voices to the voiceless and our strength to the weak.
“Enough is enough.
Our children must be safe.
Our girls must be protected.
Our nation must rise,” the statement concluded.
