A Nigerian lady has shared details of her chat with human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, prior to his arrest.
It’s worth noting that Harrison Gwamnishu is currently in detention, as confirmed by controversial critic, VeryDarkMan.

Meanwhile, a user on the microbiolgging platform, X (formerly Twitter) alleged that he diverted part of a ₦20 million ransom meant for his sister and brother‑in‑law.
Lady Releases Chat With Harrison Gwamnishu
The lady identified on Facebook as Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson shared that, during her chat with Harrison Gwamnishu, he informed her that the chief of staff to the Edo State governor, Monday Opabelo, invited him to the state.
According to Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson, the human rights activist left for Edo on Thursday, 4 December 2025 and, contrary to speculation, he was not aressted and charged to court.
In her post, Gwen Chiamaka Ifeson disclosed that, before his recent invitation to Edo State, Harrison Gwamnishu had held meetings with government officials regarding insecurity in the state.
Clarification on Alleged Ransom Diversion
According to Chiamaka’s post, Harrison Gwamnishu wasn’t the one who delivered the money to the kidnappers, and the 20 million‑naira ransom has been returned to Auchi, Edo State.
In addition, she faulted the family of the abductee, stating that they shouldn’t have gone online to accuse Harrison of taking part of the ransom.
She expressed concern for the life of the man still held by the kidnappers.
